Welcome to Sensory Seekers Play Cafe
Coming soon...
Sensory Seekers Playground is bringing more inclusivity to our community by creating a safe, supportive space where children of all abilities can grow, play, and build stronger social and sensory regulation skills.
Our playground and café will operate as two separate spaces, both located on the second floor of the Park Place Mall at 41 North 3rd Avenue, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235.
We’re thrilled to share that the playground will be opening very soon. The café, however, is expected to open in the spring of 2026. We can’t wait to welcome you!

Get to Know Us
Sensory Seekers Play Café was created by husband-and-wife team Alec and Hailee Willard. They live in Egg Harbor, Wisconsin, with their two children, Hudson and Kaycee. Earlier this year, their oldest son, Hudson, was diagnosed with autism.
As parents, Alec and Hailee had already noticed the limited number of play spaces available for children in Door County. But Hudson’s diagnosis made it even clearer how much the community lacked inclusive, supportive environments for neurodivergent kids.
They are thrilled to bring Sensory Seekers Play Café to life and to share this journey with the Door County community.

About
Sensory Seekers Play Cafe
At Sensory Seekers, our mission is to create a sensory-friendly community play space that welcomes individuals of all ages and abilities. By offering a calm, thoughtfully designed environment, we provide a safe place where all children can learn, play, and connect.
For neurodivergent children, our space supports social engagement and communication practice without the overwhelming stimulation often found in typical settings. For neurotypical children, sensory-rich rooms encourage fine motor development, emotional regulation, stress reduction, and overall cognitive and emotional growth.
Using a variety of sensory tools and stimuli, we aim to help children manage and reduce sensory overload, improve focus, and develop strong regulation skills. Our sensory spaces empower kids to engage confidently with their environment and build the skills they need to navigate real-world sensory challenges.
